Hope this is not my last blog
May be some years later, i might be searching for ways to see how i can delete this one blog. I have been thinking of blogging for almost a couple of years now. Obviously...its quite obvious that i have not figured it out yet.
For those of you, who is still holding back, just get on with it .. i am now three lines into my first blog and already feeling very confident.
Right now, the one thing that takes most of my time is the thought around Business Process Management and whether and when it can probably do what we have been promising to the business community for a long time now.
Giving business the power to define, run and control their business through IT systems
As simple as it sounds, this is probably never going to be acheived ...but definitely possible in parts. I beleive that if we, the IT community, are able to push the work to business to design and run software as they would like to run their business. ofcourse, we will provide them with the required platform and infrastructure.
If we did that....Then how do we add value.
How about having an IT division whose only focus is to find ways and means of differentiating ones business from that of competetive businesses, differentiating in customer datisfaction, more in depth customer pulse understanding...almost a business division.
Well ... miles to go before we reach there. So far....
